In the evening Patong Beach becomes a very big bazaar, when all the main roads become clogged with stalls selling silk scarves, handicrafts, sarongs and a great variety of beach clothes, leather goods and CDs, DVDs, computer games, sun glasses, electronic gadgets, flowers and all kinds of toys.

It's chaotic but fun. Most of the shopping here is aimed at the tourist market, so prices are a bit higher than they are in Phuket City.The main night market stretches all the way down the beach road and into small secondary lanes on all nights of the week. Try and get the price down to about 50% of the quoted price.

In front of the Paradise Complex there is also a market. This market is fun especially for the teenagers because you can buy jeans, special shoes and other kind of stuff.

For souvenirs, crafts, luggage, tailor made clothes, sportswear and jewellery there are lots of small shops in the center of the city open during the day - but don't go shopping until after 11am, they're not open until the afternoon. After Phuket City, Patong is the next best place to do your shopping in Phuket.
